komma 30

APRIL 2025

A magazine shaped by archives, voices, and discovery.

komma is an independent, student-run magazine at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences.

Under the theme “Aus dem Verborgenen” (“From the Hidden”), we set out to uncover what usually remains unseen. For the 30th issue we unearthed forgotten student projects, gathered memories from more than 100 former editors through interviews and surveys, and dug deep into the magazine’s archives to bring long-lost fragments back to light. The outcome: a 320-page anniversary issue, printed in only two colors (black and HKS 13), complete with a flipbook that guides readers through its chapters like a playful compass.

Alongside the print edition, we also launched a dedicated website featuring a full digital archive of all past issues, making three decades of komma accessible to a wider audience than ever before.
